Forest resident writes novel on Disney
Larry Pontius, a former resident
of Park Forest and former marketing executive for Disney, has written his first
novel, "Waking Walt." The premise: Walt Disney really didn't die on
Dec. 15, 1966, but was whisked away for almost 40 years in cryonic suspension
to await a cure for lung cancer. Pontius, who is now retired and a resident of
Longwood, Fla., has
written two books of poetry and lyrics for more than 100
published songs. "Waking Walt" is published by Showcase Press, an imprint
