Ex-Park Forest resident writes novel on Disney
Larry Pontius, a former resident of Park Forest and former marketing executive for Disney, has written his first novel, "Waking Walt." The premise: Walt Disney really didn't die on Dec. 15, 1966, but was whisked away for almost 40 years in cryonic suspension to await a cure for lung cancer. Pontius, who is now retired and a resident of Longwood, Fla., has
written two books of poetry and lyrics for more than 100 published songs. "Waking Walt" is published by Showcase Press, an imprint of iUniverse Inc. in Lincoln, Neb. (www.iuniverse.com).
